                            Heartbreak Ridge and Jacoby Trail

                                          Big Bear, CA.

                                              Feb 2006

Lined up at the trailhead for the Heartbreak Ridge Trail. The boys from NoWhiteFenders and My4x4TV put this one together.

The scenery alone is a good reason for a trail ride.

Rob films for an upcoming edition of My4x4TV. RJ leads Pablo, while Joe waits for the cameraman.

If there is a rock to be driven over, you can bet Dennis will drive over it. His bobbed Runner is very capable.

Of course I couldn't resist.

Hmmm, '62 Pontiac?

Some sections are a little tougher than others.

Are Sami's really that small?  Dennis' Runner looks hungry.

Hey, move over. I want to climb on the rock too.

Look close, you can see the rock dog in the Sami.

Joe's nice Runner, after completing Heartbreak, coming back for the next trial, Jacoby.

I didn't realize my camera was on zoom. So these next shots are poor.

Here, we are starting Jacoby.

It is a short trail with nice scenery and a little rock garden.

Nice little spot for flexing the springs. Joe hams it up.

At the end of the trail, after a long day of wheelin'.

Left to right; RJ airs back up, my little gray truck, Evil Rob parked on Dennis' Runner and Joe waiting patiently. We lost Pablo and the Sami at the end of the last trail. They bailed early.

Quite a vista from this altitude.

Looking out over Baldwin Lake.

Sunset shot out the passenger window on the drive home.

                                                                Back to trail runs.
